Taxonomy
Pseudomyriophyllia turnsekae was named by Baron-Szabo (1996). Its type locality is Arachowa, Greece, which is in an Aptian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in Greece.

It was recombined as Eugyra turnsekae by Baron-Szabo (2014).
