Anomalocalyx was named by Brock (1999). It is not extant. Its type is Anomalocalyx cawoodi.

It was assigned to Rhynchonelliformea by Brock (1999); to Kutorginida by Williams et al. (2007); and to Tomteluvidae by Streng et al. (2016).

M. Streng et al. 2016Coarsely costellate tomteluvid with presumably unisulcate anterior commissure; umbo of ventral valve slightly curved anteriorly. Ventral interarea catacline to steeply procline, variably defined laterally, divided by parallel-sided median ridge (?pseudodeltidium). Tooth-like processes on distal end of pedicle tube.
