Taxonomy
Babylonites was named by Yochelson (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon P Guad-l Sepkoski's reference number: 109,797]. It is not extant. Its type is Babylonites carinatus.

It was assigned to Omphalotrochidae by Knight et al. (1960), Morris and Cleevely (1981) and Linsley and Kier (1984); and to Euomphalina by Sepkoski (2002).
