Poncetaster crateri
Taxonomy
Poncetaster crateri was named by Villier et al. (2004). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Holotype MHNH 9001, paratype 9002. Its type locality is Echinodermata, Marls of the Variabilis zone, Thouars, which is in a Toarcian offshore marl in France. It is the type species of Poncetaster. It was considered monophyletic by Villier et al. (2004).
