Taxonomy
Centrifugus was named by Bronn (1835) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ludl-l S Ludl-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Centrifugus planorbis.

It was assigned to Euomphaloidea by Knight et al. (1960); to Euomphalidae by Morris and Cleevely (1981) and Linsley and Kier (1984); and to Euomphalina by Sepkoski (2002).
