Taxonomy
Calliderma moreaui was named by Néraudeau and Breton (1993). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle of Le Havre, holotype MHNH 8543, paratypes MHNH 8544. It was considered paraphyletic by Néraudeau and Breton (1993).
