Taxonomy
Calliderma viaudi was named by Breton (1988). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle of Nantes, holotype MHNN E.A. (f) 1. It was considered monophyletic by Néraudeau and Breton (1993).
