Taxonomy
Comptonia wightensis was named by Breton (1992). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Natural History Museum, London, holotype BMNH 48620.

It was recombined as Paragonaster wightensis by Gale (2020).

G. Breton 1992Arms long and slender. R/r equals approximately three. Interradial arc parabolic. Marginal squared in the arm and a bit wider in the disc. Superomarginals separated on the whole length of the arm by a row of radial abactinals. External face convex, slightly domed to saddle shaped. Ornament of fine and dense granule pits bearing granules uniformly distributed. Marginals low, not curved.
