Crateraster debrisi was named by Breton (1992). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle of Le Havre, holotype MHNH 8290, paratypes MHNH 8291.

G. Breton 1992Marginals of small size, relatively low. Ornament of granule-pits and tiny glassy tubercles. Generally tubercles on adradial part and granule-pits on abradial part. Lateral faces with ball and socket articulation process and adradial side. Pedicellariae-pits oval or of winged-type.
