Crateraster dubusi was named by Breton (1992). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle of Le Havre, holotype MHNH 8306.

G. Breton 1992Form of small body size with fan shaped marginal frame. Inferomarginals relatively low in contact with the adambulacrals from the fourth inferomarginal. Profile convexe but not bend-shaped. External face flattened. Superomarginal higher. External face with crater-shaped, rimed ornament. Pedicellariae pits oval, winged.
