Taxonomy
Crateraster fourayae was named by Breton (1992). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle of Le Havre, holotype MHNH 8300, paratypes 8301-8304.

G. Breton 1992Marginals small, relatively low or of medium heigh, convex, weakly domed. Adradial side of the marginals with tiny tubercles. Adradial side with granule-pits or tiny tubercles. Enlarged penultimate superomarginal in conexion with three to four inferomarginals. Pedicellarie pits rounded to oval, rimed or not.
