Isfarispira was named by Gubanov et al. (1995) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ldov-u , S Wenl-l]. It is not extant. Its type is Isfarispira septata.

It was assigned to Omphalotrochidae by Gubanov et al. (1995); to Euomphalina by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pycnomphalinae by Peel (2018).

J. S. Peel 2018Large, lenticular gastropod with up to ten or more slowly expanding whorls and a radial aperture. Umbilicus largely closed by a blade-like circumbilical flange extending adumbilically as a continuation of the shallowly convex base. Shell interior with numerous adaperturally concave septa in the early stages. Ornamentation of fine comarginal growth lines.
