Macluritella was named by Kirk (1927) [Sepkoski's age data: ]. It is not extant. Its type is Macluritella stantoni.
It was assigned to Euomphalidae by Morris and Cleevely (1981); to Gastropoda by Yochelson and Stinchcomb (1987); to Maclureadae by Knight et al. (1960), Linsley and Kier (1984) and Wagner (1999); and to Euomphalina by Sepkoski (2002).
