Taxonomy
Hormospongia labyrinthica was named by Rigby and Blodgett (1983). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UA 2459, an other, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS 10062-SD, McGrath A5 Quadrangle, which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone in the Cheeneetnuk Formation of Alaska.
