Orecopia was named by Knight (1945) [Sepkoski's age data: D Emsi D Fras Sepkoski's reference number: 362,797]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Omphalotrochidae by Knight et al. (1960), Morris and Cleevely (1981) and Linsley and Kier (1984); and to Euomphalina by Sepkoski (2002).
