Taxonomy
Orospira was named by Butts (1926) [Sepkoski's age data: O Trem-u O Aren-l Sepkoski's reference number: 797]. It is not extant. Its type is Orospira bigranosa.

It was assigned to Helicotominae by Knight et al. (1960); to Raphistomidae by Wagner (1999); and to Euomphalina by Sepkoski (2002).
