Taxonomy
Pleuromphalus was named by Perner (1903) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ludl]. It is not extant. Its type is Pleuromphalus seductor.

It was reranked as Euomphalopterus (Pleuromphalus) by Knight et al. (1960).

It was assigned to Euomphalopterus by Knight et al. (1960); and to Euomphalina by Sepkoski (2002).
