Taxonomy
Aspidaster concinnus was named by Breton (1978). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle du Havre, Holotype MHNH 2261. It was considered monophyletic by Breton (1978).
It was recombined as Manfredaster concinnus by Villier et al. (2004).

G. Breton 1978 | Arms relatively long (R>2r). Architecture of the arm with rows of carinal, superomarginal, inferomarginal plates to the arm tip and a row of actinolateral reduced to the arm base. Carinal, superomarginal and inferomarginal plates in equal number. Localy, few intermarginal plates of reduced size. Superomarginal and radial plates notably wider than long in the larger part of the arm (l/L equals two). Inferomarginal, superomarginal and carinal plates low. External face of superomarginal plates slightly domed, with ornament of fine, dense granule pits. No raised central area differentiated. |
