Taxonomy
Holopella tenuisulcata was named by Sandberger and Sandberger (1854). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Loxonema tenuisulcatum by Amler and Heidelberger (2003); it was recombined as Palaeozygopleura tenuisulcata by Wagner (2023).
