Alaskacirrus was named by Frýda and Blodgett (1998) [Sepkoski's age data: D Emsi]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); to Cirridae by Frýda and Blodgett (1998) and Frýda and Blodgett (2004); and to Soleniscidae by Wagner (2023).
