Agnostus seclusus was named by Walcott (1884). Its type specimen is USNM 24586, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Kormagnostus seclusus by Palmer (1954) and Robison (1988).

Synonyms
  • Kormagnostus simplex was named by Resser (1938).

    It was synonymized subjectively with Agnostus seclusus by Robison (1988).
