Arizonella was named by Stoyanow (1948) [Sepkoski's age data: D Eife D Fras Sepkoski's reference number: 797]. It is not extant. Its type is Arizonella allecta.
It was assigned to Raphistomidae by Stoyanow (1948) and Knight et al. (1960); to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Gosseletininae by Wagner (2023).
