Astralites was named by Whiteaves (1892) [Sepkoski's age data: D Give Sepkoski's reference number: 362]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pseudophoridae by Knight et al. (1960) and Blodgett et al. (2003).
