Coelurosaurichnus sassendorfensis was named by Kuhn (1958). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Sassendorf, which is in a Rhaetian/Hettangian marine limestone in the Bausandstein Formation of Germany.
