Anomalinella was named by Cushman (1927) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-u R]. It is extant. Its type is Truncatulina rostrata.

It was assigned to Anomalininae by Cushman (1927); and to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002).
