Podophthalmus domingensis
Taxonomy
Podophthalmus domingensis was named by Rathbun (1919). Its type specimen is ANSP 2265, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lower half of Yaqui del Norte River valley, which is in a Miocene/Pliocene marine siliciclastic in the Dominican Republic.
It was recombined as Euphylax domingensis by Collins et al. (2001), Schweitzer et al. (2006), Schweitzer et al. (2010), Schweitzer et al. (2021).
