Taxonomy

Acrochordiceras (Paracrochordiceras) was named by Spath (1934). Its type is Acrochordiceras anodosum.

It was reranked as Paracrochordiceras by Tozer (1981), Tozer (1994), Tozer (1994) and Tongtherm et al. (2016).

It was assigned to Acrochordiceras by Spath (1934) and McLearn (1969); and to Acrochordiceratidae by Tozer (1981), Tozer (1994), Tozer (1994) and Tongtherm et al. (2016).

Eoacrochordiceras was named by Wang (1978) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Olen-u Tr Anis-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. Its type is Eoacrochordiceras ziyunense.

It was synonymized subjectively with Paracrochordiceras by Monnet et al. (2013).

It was assigned to Acrochordiceratidae by Tozer (1981); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
Preflorianitoides was named by Wang (1978) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Olen-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. Its type is Preflorianitoides reniformis.

It was synonymized subjectively with Paracrochordiceras by Monnet et al. (2013).

It was assigned to Flemingitinae by Tozer (1981); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
Caucasochordiceras was named by Shevyrev (1995).

It was synonymized subjectively with Paracrochordiceras by Monnet et al. (2013).

It was assigned to Acrochordiceratidae by Shevyrev (1995).
Proacrochordiceras was named by Korschinskaya (1983).
