Neilo doellojuradoi was named by Malumian et al. (1978) [TYPE LOCALITY: Cierra Castillo, Tierra del Fuego (Early Oligocene).]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Cerro Castillo, which is in an Oligocene offshore sandstone in Argentina.
