Taxonomy
Guizhouspira gibbicircelloides was named by Wang (1982). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Matan Section Act468, Heshan, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Heshan Formation of China.
It was recombined as Zhonghuaspira gibbicircelloides by Pan and Erwin (2002).
