Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria galtensis was named by Billings (1865). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Eotomaria galtensis by Clarke and Ruedemann (1903), Whiteaves (1906), Parks (1915) and Kurushin (1986); it was recombined as Spiroraphe galtensis by Wagner (2023).
