It was assigned to Turbinidae by Gardner (1947); to Liotiidae by Gardner (1948); to Vitrinellidae by Perrilliat (1972) and Ward and Blackwelder (1987); to Liotiinae by Pacaud and Le Renard (1995); and to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002).
