Taxonomy
Parapleurosmilia inflata was named by Beauvais (1986). Its type locality is Tizi Nasa (bordering the Middle Atlas), Atlas Mountains, which is in a Pliensbachian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in Morocco. It is the type species of Parapleurosmilia.
