Batten 1985Moderately high-spired, fusiform shells with a selenizone located near the suture on the upper whorl surface; whorls elongate, rounded; sutures embrace whorls below the rounded peripheral region; selenizone margins sharply defined by narrow grooves; ornament, ifpresent, consists ofcollabral ribs or threads, is more developed on the outer whorl face; columellar lip reflexed into a narrow funicle or callus; siphonal canal is short and shallow.
