Taxonomy
Leda (Neilonella) was named by Dall (1881) [Sepkoski's age data: K Maes R Sepkoski's reference number: 991]. It is extant. Its type is Leda (Neilonella) corpulenta.

It was reranked as Neilonella by Coan et al. (2000), Todd (2001), Sepkoski (2002) and Mikkelsen (2006).

It was assigned to Leda by Dall (1881); to Nuculoida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Neilonellidae by Coan et al. (2000), Todd (2001), Spencer et al. (2004) and Mikkelsen (2006).
