Taxonomy
Anomia hannai was named by Wiedey (1929) [TYPE LOCALITY: California; Vaqueros Fm (Oligocene-Miocene).]. Its type specimen is CAS 514 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LSJU loc. 449, west of Pleyto, which is in a Miocene coastal sandstone in the Vaqueros Formation of California.
