Taxonomy
Pindorama nordestina was named by Anelli et al. (2006). Its type specimen is GP/1T 1944 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Mucambo Farmstead, Near the José de Freitas village, which is in a Morrowan/Desmoinesian carbonate dolomite in the Piauà Formation of Brazil.
