Taxonomy
Leptoscaptor bavaricum was named by Ziegler (2003). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NHMA P10-608/6 left dentary fragment with c, p2-m1, a mandible. Its type locality is Petersbuch 10, which is in a MN 7 + 8 fissure fill horizon in Germany. It is the type species of Leptoscaptor.
