Taxonomy
Myxomygale gracilis was named by Ziegler (2003). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NHMA P10-615-2 Humerus dext., a set of limb elements. Its type locality is Petersbuch 10, which is in a MN 7 + 8 fissure fill horizon in Germany.

R. Ziegler 2003Small-sized Myxomygale characterised [by] a mental foramen situated under the protoconid of m1, and oblique cristid extending labially in m1, joining a makerd metacristid in m2 and m3. M1 without parastyle and paracrista, with deeply divided mesostyle. The humerus is urotrichine and slender with long ledge-like teres tubercle and a pectoral tubercle situated laterally
