It was recombined as Potamides (Pyrazus) sulcatus by Martin (1884) and Koperberg (1931); it was recombined as Potamides (Terebralia) sulcatus by Martin (1899) and Tesch (1915); it was recombined as Terebralia (Terebralia) sulcata by Wissema (1947); it was recombined as Terebralia sulcata by Oostingh (1935), van Benthem Jutting (1956), Robba et al. (1989) and Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
