Pisulina was named by Nevill and Nevill (1869) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-u R Sepkoski's reference number: 557]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Neritidae by Ladd (1966) and Ladd (1977); and to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002).
