Taxonomy
Acaenoplax hayae was named by Sutton et al. (2001). Its type specimen is OUM 29528 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Herefordshire Konservat-Lagerstätte, which is in a Wenlock basinal (carbonate) carbonate/volcaniclastic in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Acaenoplax.
