Murchisonia (Glyphodeta) tschernyschewi was named by Jakowlew (1899) [Murchisonia (Glyphodeta?) tschernyschewi]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Murchisonia (Hormotoma) tschernyschewi by Nel’zina (1978); it was recombined as Arribazona tschernyschewi by Mazaev (2006) and Mazaev (2020).
