Myotis sanctialbani was named by Viret (1951) [The remains are not really typed as holotype by Viret (1951).]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is MHNL L. Gr. 319 and 322, a mandible (Fragment Max. with P4-M3 (319) and Mand. sin. with m1-m3 (322)).
