Taxonomy
Dibolia major was named by Rümke (1985). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Ma7-537, a tooth (p3 dex.). Its type locality is Masada del Valle 7, which is in the Turolian of marl the Alfambra Formation Spain.
It was recombined as Archaeodesmana major by Hutterer (1995) and Martín-Suárez et al. (2001).
