Palaeeudyptes gunnari
Taxonomy
Eosphaeniscus gunnari was named by Wiman (1905). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Snow Hill, next to, which is in a Bartonian coastal sandstone in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica.
It was recombined as Eospheniscus gunnari by Lambrecht (1933); it was recombined as Palaeeudyptes gunnari by Simpson (1971), Myrcha et al. (1990), Myrcha et al. (2002), Tambussi et al. (2006), Jadwiszczak (2006), Chavez (2007), Acosta Hospitaleche and Reguero (2010) and Tambussi et al. (2023).
It was recombined as Eospheniscus gunnari by Lambrecht (1933); it was recombined as Palaeeudyptes gunnari by Simpson (1971), Myrcha et al. (1990), Myrcha et al. (2002), Tambussi et al. (2006), Jadwiszczak (2006), Chavez (2007), Acosta Hospitaleche and Reguero (2010) and Tambussi et al. (2023).
