Taxonomy
Schizolopha was named by Ulrich and Scofield (1897) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-u O Ashg-m]. It is not extant. Its type is Schizolopha textilis.

It was synonymized subjectively with Lophospira by Knight et al. (1960).

It was assigned to Pleurotomariidae by Ulrich and Scofield (1897); to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Coelozoninae by Wagner (2017).
