Taxonomy
Turbonilla (Mormula) loripana was named by Pilsbry and Olsson (1941). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Zone H - Canoa Formation, which is in a Piacenzian coastal claystone in the Canoa Formation of Ecuador.
