Amphechinus baudelotae was named by Gibert (1974). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IPMC 9035, a maxilla (Max. sin. fragment with M1 and M2).

J. Gibert 1974The lower incisor is curved. The hypoconid of the m2 is robust, but lower than the entoconid. The paralophid of the m2 reaches the basin of the metaconid. The mesastyle of the M1 is very well developed. A metaconule is present in M1 and M2. The hypocone of the M1 and M2 is connected with the trigone.
