Taxonomy
Spirotomaria was named by Koken and Perner (1925) [Sepkoski's age data: O Aren-u O Llvi Sepkoski's reference number: 1197]. It is not extant. Its type is Pleurotomaria rudissima.

It was assigned to Pleurotomariacea by Knight et al. (1960); to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Eotomariinae by Wagner (2023).
