Myxomygale hutchisoni

Taxonomy
Palurotrichus hutchisoni was named by Ziegler (1985). It is not extant. Its type specimen is BSP 1976 XXII 3176, a mandible (Fragment mandible with m2 amd alveoli i1-m3).

It was recombined as Myxomygale hutchisoni by van den Hoek Ostende (1989).

Ein an die fossriale Lebensweise mäßig angepaßter Talpide. Humerus schlank; Tereskamte verlängert, Caput elliptisch, parallel zur Humeruslängsache; ''scalopine ridge'' markant, mit geradlinigem, mediolateralem Verlauf. Fossa brachialis mäßig tief; Fossa olecrani mäßig tief, in lateraler Hälfte. Unterkieferzahnformel 3133; I inf. etwas vergrößert; p1-3 ungefähr gliech groß, einwurzelig; m inf. brachydont; Crista obliqua des m1 ungefähr bis zur Mitte der Trigoniddrückwand, bei m203 bis lingual, kein Entoctistid. Forr. mentalia unter m1 aund Mesostyl der M sup/ ungespalten; Metaconulus am M1 angedeutet, am M2 ausgesprägt.
